GENERAL DENTISTRY

general-dentistryWe pride ourselves in providing our patients with the most effective general dentistry services and you can count on us to help you maintain your oral health and keep your smile looking beautiful. No matter what your needs are, we have the perfect solutions to safeguard your smile or repair any damage that may have occurred over the years.

Preventive Care

At regular exams we check the condition of your gums and the condition of your teeth. Maintenance of the teeth and mouth is completed with cleanings, dental sealents, polishing, scaling, and radiographs.

Fillings

To treat a cavity, we will remove the decayed portion of the tooth and then “fill” the area on the tooth where the decayed material was removed. Tooth-colored fillings, also known as white fillings, can effectively restore the decayed tooth to a completely natural appearance.

Veneers

Thin porcelain veneers can be applied to any teeth that may have been damaged by decay or unexpected injury. Our porcelain veneers are matched specifically to your teeth, giving your smile a brand new, beautifully bright look and is a simple general dentistry solution.

Porcelain Crowns

If your teeth are in need of protection, porcelain crowns can help strengthen the existing tooth if it has been damaged in any way. Crowns can also be used in conjunction with other methods to drastically and dramatically repair your smile.

Dental Bridges

If you are suffering from large gaps between teeth, a dental bridge may be the perfect general dentistry choice to give you a natural look that will also help to restore your oral health. Gaps and missing teeth can often cause additional long term problems, and dental bridges working in conjunction with crowns can fill in the gaps and give you a smile you are proud to show off.

Implant Restorations for General Dentistry

Dental implants are the ideal solution if you are one of many people who have a missing tooth due to an injury or other damage. Not only do dental implants improve the aesthetics of your smile, they also help to prevent the possibility of future jaw bone loss that may occur when a tooth is missing.

Root Canals

Endodontics is the specialized area of dentistry that deals with the interior of you teeth, the tooth pulp. The term “root canal” applies to the space inside the root which is continuous with the space known as the chamber inside the tooth’s crown. A root canal is far from the long and painful procedure it once was. The dentist will remove all decayed tissue, bacteria, and debris from the inside of the tooth. When it is entirely clean, she will fill it with a sterile filling, sealing it against future bacterial invasion

Extractions

When a tooth is found to be non-restorable, the dentist will recommend an extraction. An extraction is the removal of a tooth from the mouth. Before the extraction is completed, the dentist will have planned with you how the tooth will be replaced.

Dentures

A denture is a removable replacement for missing tooth and surrounding tissue. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing. While a partial denture is used when some natural teeth remain. Implants can be used to secure the denture in place.
